For 6 months, Olympic Community of Health Community Program Coordinator, Lauryn Garrett, worked on what is now called the Olympic Connect Regional Resource Directory. The directory is a locally-curated collection of trusted, vetted resources from the community and partners throughout Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap counties. There are over 500 resources available in the directory and it’s growing every day. Lauryn spearheaded the work to compile the resources, created a process for collection, and found a way to share these great resources publicly on the Olympic Connect website.
Community members and resource and service providers in the Olympic region have acknowledged how this directory has made it easier to search for available resources in Clallam, Jefferson, and Kitsap counties. The directory is a work in progress and resources are added and updated regularly.
Lauryn’s tenacity to create a directory that is easy to use, diligently vetted, and available at no cost shows that she values making resources accessible to everyone regardless of where they live or their circumstances. The directory is one of the many ways Olympic Connect helps connect individuals to the resources and services they need to thrive.
